Raul Hernandez, MD, is a board-certified urologist who practices at Fog City Urology. He treats all types of urological conditions in men, women, and children. He's been in practice in San Francisco since 1990 and is a leader in the field of urology.

Dr. Hernandez values community and holds a deep respect for human dignity. He is committed to staying on top of the latest medical and therapeutic advances in urology to provide his patients with the most advanced care options.

Patient education is a top priority for Dr. Hernandez. He wants to help his patients gain a comprehensive understanding of their condition, particularly with patients who have prostate cancer. Given the differing recommendations on prostate cancer treatment, Dr. Hernandez’s goal is to educate his patients on the condition so they can make informed choices about what treatment is best for them.

Other areas of urology Dr. Hernandez specializes in are: the treatment of kidney stones using the latest technological advances, anti-aging medicine as it relates to male health issues, sexually transmitted diseases, aging issues of hormonal depletion, sexual dysfunction, and the successful treatment of a lesser-known condition called Peyronie's disease.

Beyond being President of Fog City Urology, an umbrella organization of multiple independent urology practices in the Bay Area, Dr. Hernandez is the Chief of Urology at Seton Medical Center and at St. Mary’s Hospital.
